DragonCor Opens Phase II A1/A2 of Sonic, Further Strengthening Logistics Infrastructure in the Greater Bay Area

GUANGZHOU, March 30, 2026 – DragonCor today celebrated the opening of Phase II A1/A2 at Sonic. The commencement of operations marks another milestone in DragonCor’s logistics platform expansion in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and further reinforces its commitment to supporting regional supply chain development and economic growth.

Located in the core area of the Guangzhou Airport Economic Zone, Sonic is one of DragonCor’s flagship logistics developments in South China. The newly completed Phase II A1/A2 comprises approximately 106,000 square meters of modern logistics facilities and represents an important step in DragonCor’s continued investment in the Greater Bay Area logistics market.

The opening ceremony was attended by Wang Weihua, Party Secretary of Huadong Town, together with representatives from local government, business partners, and customers, who gathered to celebrate the official launch of the project.

Zhaozhuo Hou, Head of National Operations at DragonCor, said: “Over more than a decade of development, Sonic has evolved into an important logistics hub serving the region. The completion of Phase II A1/A2 not only expands the park’s operational capacity but also provides high-quality logistics infrastructure to support industrial upgrading and supply chain development. We look forward to continuing to enhance the park ecosystem and creating long-term value alongside our partners and local communities.”

Deying Xu, General Manager of DragonCor Guangzhou, said: “Phase II A1/A2 combines strategic location advantages, modern facilities, and professional operational services to meet the evolving needs of logistics occupiers. The project will further strengthen the park’s ability to serve logistics, supply chain, and cross-border e-commerce companies. Looking ahead, we will continue to explore customized development opportunities and provide flexible, efficient warehousing solutions for our customers.”

As a key logistics node within the Greater Bay Area, Sonic is located in Huadong Town, Huadu District, Guangzhou, adjacent to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and in close proximity to major transportation corridors, including the Daqing–Guangzhou Expressway, Airport Expressway, and Beijing–Hong Kong–Macao Expressway. The project also benefits from connectivity to Huadu Port and Guangzhou North Railway Station. Its strategic location enables access to most major Greater Bay Area cities within a two-hour drive, supporting efficient regional distribution and supply chain operations.

The park currently comprises approximately 1 million square meters of leasable space in Phase I and 106,000 square meters in Phase II A1/A2, with Phase III currently under development. The project offers a diversified range of facilities, including ramp-up warehouses, multi-story warehouses, cold storage facilities, office buildings, and employee accommodations, providing an integrated solution that supports warehousing, office, and operational needs.

DragonCor remains committed to leveraging its asset management and operational expertise to expand its logistics platform, strengthen supply chain infrastructure, and support the sustainable growth of the logistics industry across China.
